Bilal Philips

As the founder of the Islamic Online University with over 20,000 students from 160 countries, Dr. Bilal Philips is a world renowned scholar and author of more than 100 books and articles. Born to Christian parents, Bilal Philips is a grandson of a Church Minister and Bible expert in Jamaica. He accepted Islam in 1972 and earned his B.A from Madinah University, Saudi Arabia and Masters from King Saud University, Saudi Arabia.

Abdur Raheem Green

Weary of society’s obsession with wealth, and cultural traditions, Abdur Raheem Green journeyed through different religions and philosophies to find a greater goal and meaning in life. Yahya Ibrahim

Ustadh Yahya Ibrahim was born in Waterloo, Canada. In his quest for authentic, classical Islamic knowledge, he travelled to meet and study under some of the most prominent scholars of our era. While attending the University of Toronto, he would travel regularly during his free time to further his knowledge of Islam.

Abu Usamah Atthahabi

Abu Usamah AtthahabiPassionate and Outspoken, Shaykh Abu Usamah is the Imaam of Green Lane Masjid in Birmingham, U.K. His love for Islam has led him to deliver lectures and seminars in many parts of the world. He is also an expert translator for many Arab speakers visiting the West to disseminate Islamic knowledge.

Muhammad Faqih

Shaykh Muhammad Faqih is an icon of etiquette and manners. His style and stride makes you say “that man’s fit to be president”. He is known for melting hearts with his soothing Qur’an recitation and talks on tazkiya, akhlaq (manners), self-discovery and psychology. Hailing from a lineage of scholarship, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Faqih traces his roots back to the ancient city of Harar in the Horn of Africa.

Omar Suleiman

Omar Suleiman

Shaykh Omar Suleiman is an American born and educated scholar and social worker. He currently serves as the Imaam of Abu Bakr asSiddique Masjid in New Orleans, Outreach director of ICNA Relief in Louisiana and he is a member of ICNA Shari’ah Council. Shaykh Omar earned his B.A in Islamic studies and B.A in Accounting with an array of Diplomas and certifications on numerous Islamic Disciplines with emphasis on Jurisprudence (Fiqh) and Dawah.

Abu Abdissalam

Born in England, Abu Abdissalam graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the City University in London. His passionate zeal for Islamic knowledge led him to give up a lucrative career in the computer industry to join ‘Dar Al-Hadith Al-Khayriyyah’ in the blessed city of Makkah.

 

Yusha Evans

Raised in South Carolina as a strict Methodist, Brother Yusha studied studied in a Bible college where he learned the Bible in Hebrew and Greek. The many contradictions and inconsistancies in the Bible led him to search for God in every religion from Judaism to Buddhims, Wicca to Bushido.

 

Abdalla Idris Ali

Shaykh Abdalla Idris Ali, a public speaker, served as ISNA President from 1992-1997. He co-organized the Canadian Islamic Banking Conferences for 1996 and 1997. Shaykh Abdalla serves as a member on the Board of Trustees for the Islamic Teaching Center (ITC) and North American Islamic Trust.

 

Alaa Elsayed

Sheikh Alaa has studied for his Bachelors in Shari’ah from the American International University, and has earned a scholarship from the Shari’ah Academy in Egypt/Florida. He has also received his Ijazah of Qur’an recitation for Hafs ‘an Asim, studied comparative religion for five years through the IPCI in South Africa, and was on the board of director of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth.

Riad Ouarzazi

Shaykh Riad is dubbed the “Heart doctor” for his soul stirring talks on Tazkiya. He will clean your heart with the soap of Imaan, water of Islam and light of Allah. Shaykh Riad was born in Casablanca, Morocco from where he earned his degree in Islamic education.

Omar Zia

Omar Zia is an Educator working with the Peel School Board. He us a well-known Khatib and lecturer in Toronto. He holds a B.Sc., B.Ed. (Science/English) and a Master of Education degree. Br. Omar Zia currently works as the Curricular Head of Student Services: Guidance Counsellor, Student Success Site Coordinator and Special Education Services Program Coordinator, at TL Kennedy SS with the Peel District School Board.

 

Uthman Khan

His passionate recitation of the Qur’an leaves listeners speechless, basking in the magnificence of Allah’s eternal Words to mankind. Shaykh Uthman Khan is an authority in Qira’aat and Islamic Sciences. He earned his Alimiyyah degree in Shariah and Arabic from UK and later recieved his Ijazah in ten Qiraa’at, kubra and sughra—the most prestigious chain of Qiraa-aat in the world.

Muneeza Shaikh

Muneeza Shaikh completed undergraduate studies at York University in Sociology and Labour Studies. She then attended Osgoode Hall Law School, where she obtained a law degree. After completing law school, she worked for one the leading union-side labour law firms learning from the top litigators in the area. She also spent time working as in-house counsel for one of the largest unions in the province. She currently practices in the area of labour and employment law, family law, criminal defense, residential real estate and human rights law.
